4 Ways to Check iPhone IMEI, Really Easy

Mobile device owners must often hear about IMEI, right? International Mobile Equipment Identity or often abbreviated as IMEI is the identity number listed on the cellphone.

IMEI has an important function, namely identifying mobile devices . The second function can be to prevent theft, if the phone can be identified, the thief cannot use the SIM card in the device. This is because the phone’s IMEI number is already connected to the phone number of an operator.

On the iPhone, the IMEI can usually be seen in the sales box. But to make sure whether the IMEI number is actually the IMEI on your iPhone, you can use the method below, quoted from the Apple Support page .

1. USSD menu

You do this by pressing the *#06# button on the phone keypad on your iPhone.

2. Via Settings or Settings.

Go to Settings, select General and tap About.

Look for the serial number, users may need to scroll down to find the IMEI/MEID and ICCID.

To paste this information into an Apple registration or support form, touch and hold the number you want to copy.

3. Check the SIM Card Tray

If you can’t open the Settings menu, the IMEI can be found in your iPhone’s SIM Card Tray.

iPhones whose IMEI number is listed in the SIM Card Tray are from iPhone 6s Plus to iPhone 13 series.

For iPhone 5 to iPhone 6, the IMEI number can be found on the back of the device, precisely under the words iPhone.

4. Check iPhone IMEI from PC

– Open the official Apple ID website through your browser

– Sign in using the Apple ID used on the iPhone device

– Scroll down to the Devices section. To view the serial number and IMEI/MEID, select the device.

– If the user has another device with iOS 10.3 or later, on that device go to Settings > (Your Name). Scroll down to see devices signed in with your Apple ID.

To view the serial number and IMEI/MEID, tap the device name.
